Three ways onto a panel, and the two steps they all share

Commercial displays take the IPK from a USB stick or through SuperSign Manager. A TV on the bench takes it over ares-cli. Whichever route you use, the panel is paired from your dashboard in under a minute.

  1. Download the LG IPK

    Download the latest LG Web OS version above on your PC. Note the latest release is version 1.0.0

  2. Prepare the flash drive and format

    Format your USB flash drive as FAT32. Create a new folder named installation/ and copy the downloaded IPK into this folder. Rename the IPK file to: com.lg.app.signage.ipk . Safely eject the USB flash drive from your PC.

  3. Insert the Flash Drive into your LG Display

    Once the flash drive has been inserted, on the LG remote, open: Settings → EZ Setting → SI Server Setting

  4. Configure LG SI Settings

    In SI Server Setting, configure the following :

    - Application Launch Mode: Local

    - Application Type: IPK

    - Local Application Upgrade: USB

  5. Confirm the installation

    Confirm the installation when prompted.

    Wait until you receive the "Upgrade Complete" message.

    Power the display off using the remote, wait roughly 10 seconds, then power it back on

  6. Pair the screen

    Once the display switched on, the app will launch a splash screen with a pairing ID and code.

    In your dashboard open Screens page → Add screen, enter the codes (or scan the QR code), follow the prompts on the dashboard to complete the linking process

  7. Additional Settings

    1. A signage panel should return to the player after a power cut. Set the app as the boot application in the display's own settings; the player then resumes on power-on and after the panel wakes, and carries on playing from its own storage if the network is down.
